Internship Opportunities

    HEALTH EDUCATION:

    Support field-based workshops, classes, programs and events to promote healthy living, coping with chronic conditions, and fitness.

    ALZHEIMER'S AND DEMENTIA SERVICES

    Help deliver programs, education and resources to support the caregivers and families of people with dementia. Network with other community organizations, attend and plan meetings and events.

    AREA AGENCY ON AGING/CARE MANAGEMENT

    Assist staff with projects, client services, community outreach, and administrative tasks. This role provides students with hands-on experience in aging services, program coordination, and nonprofit/community-based work while contributing to the Agency’s mission of supporting older adults and caregivers.

    GUARDIANSHIP INTERN

    Provide support for activities and processes of the Adult Guardianship Services Program. Visit clients, check on care needs, and advocate for their interests and preferences.

    PORTAGE COMMONS SENIOR ENRICHMENT CENTER

    Support the daily operations, programs, and services of the senior center.  Plan and lead health, educational and social activities and programs.  This provides experience with community engagement, program planning, and service delivery for older adults.

    OTHER

    Other Internship positions may be considered for enrolled students.  Please contact intern@realservices.org.  All internship positions are unpaid, but college credit may be available from your school.
